Angus McGlynn

I am a founder and designer based between Sydney and New York City.

I have never had a super linear path. I founded my first business at 14, where I learned how to sell, market, develop and build something people genuinely love. That core learning opened up my world. I dropped out of school at 16 to pursue this passion, moving away from home to study and expand my knowledge — at the time, I knew that as design.

Landed a design role at a product agency 3 months later and never looked back. Accelerated my studies and bounced around doing agency work and freelancing on the side until founding Refract.

2 years later, after many ups and downs and a SHIT ton of learning, Refract is growing at a sustainable rate and we’re now designing and incubating new ventures alongside it.
